Attendance Policy
Attendance is mandatory!
One of the keys to to a students success in school is regular and punctual attendance. Poor academic work and absenteeism are tied together. According to state law, it is the obligation of every parent to insure that every child under his/her care and supervision receives an adequate education and attends school. During a quarter, a student can accumulate no more than 5 absences. Once a student exceeds 5 absences in a class during the quarter, a final grade of "F" will be received for that class. If a student misses more than ten consecutive, unexcused days of classes, then she/he is dropped from school and must re-enroll in Crestview College Preparatory Schools.
If an illness or emergency occurs that keeps the student from attending school, the parent or guardianMUSTcontact to the school and explain the reason for missing classes. When the student returns, he/she is responsible for completing all work missed. In the event of a hospitalization or doctors appointment, Crestview requires a signed note from the healthcare provider.
Modifications will be made for health bereavement issues.
Health and bereavements falls into the following areas:
1. Death in the immediate family (grandparent, parent or sibling)
2. Illness that exceeds 2 or more days with medical documentation
3. Arrangements between the administrative team and the family.
If an extended absence should occur, the student must arrange a meeting with parents and teachers to discuss the coursework and class time prior to returning to classes.
All absences shall be phoned into the office on the day of the absence.
In order to receive credit for the course, the student must attend class and complete all work required at a level that is acceptable by the teacher. The schedule for make-up work is as follows:
● If work is made up within the first week, the student may receive full credit.
● Week two the students opportunity for credit on the assignments drops to 75%.
● After week two following the absence, the student is no longer eligible to receive credit for the work.

Asistencia regular y puntual es una de la llaves de excito para el alumno. Falta de esfuerzo de trabajo academico y ausentismo estan ligados. Segun las ley estatal, es la obligación de los padres de asegurarse de que su hijo/hija bajo su cuidado y supervision asista a escuela y reciba una educación. El alumno no puede acumular mas de 5 faltas durante
un carto. Un grado final de "F" (0-59) es lo que recibira el alumno en un cuarto en la clase cuando supera las 5 faltas. Si el alumno falta mas de diez díaz consecutivos sin excusa, lo damos de baja de la escuela y tiene que matricularse de nuevo en Crestview College Preparatory Schools.
Los padres o el guardian TIENEN contactar la escuela y explicar la razón porque tiene que faltar sus clases el alumno en el caso de que us por una enfermedad o una emergencia. El alumno es responsable por toda la tarea que le falte al regresar. Crestview requiere una nota firmada por su proveedor de atención médica en el caso de una cita con el doctor o hospitalización.
Se harán modificaciónes por la pérdida de un ser querido o mala salud.
Las categoria de mala salud y pérdidas son las siguientes:
1. Muerte de un familiar cercano (como abuelo, padre/madre o hermano[a]).
2. Documentación de una enfermedad que super mas de 2 dias.
3. Arreglos hecho con el personal y la familia.
El alumno debe hacer arreglos para una junta con sus padres y maestros para hablar de sus asignaciónes y tiempo de clase antes que de que vuelva a salón de enseñza.
Deben llamar a la escuela el mismo día de la falta.
El alumno debe asistir la clase y terminar todas las asignaciones a nivel que es acepto al profesor. El horario para hacer la tarea que falto es el siguiente:
● El alumno puede recibir el credito completo si el la tarea es hecha en la primera semana.
● La oportunidad de recibir credito baja a 75% en la segunda semana.
● El alumno no puede recibir credito por el trabajo despues de la segunda semana de la falta.

Tardy Policy
Students are expected to arrive to class on time. Students arriving after the class bell rings will be counted tardy, within the first 15 minutes. Tardies will negatively impact the students grade in class. Excessive tardies contribute to loss of credit in the course.
*New ABSENT passes*
Used for students who show up more than 15 minutes late to class but before the last 15 minutes of a class period (on a Friday schedule, 10 minutes before the end of a class). Students will sign a sheet in the front office and receive a pass. The time will be entered in the students record. The student will then go to class with a PASS. The student is counted as ABSENT.

Para los alumnos que llegan mas de 15 minutos tardes a la clase pero antes de los ultimos 15 minutos pel período (el horario del Viernes sera 10 minutos antes que se termine la clase). Para recibir un pase tendran que firma una hoja en la oficina. Entonces los estudiantes iran clase con el PASE. Se cuenta AUSENTE el alumno.

Truancy
Arizona State law says it is unlawful for any child between the ages of six and sixteen to fail to attend school unless they have a valid excuse. When a parent does not provide a valid excuse for the student's absence, a citation may be issued to the parent, guardian or student (LAW - ARS 15-802, 15-803, 15-804). A habitually truant student (5 absences in any combination of class periods without a valid excuse) will be issued a citation in which the parent will required to appear in court.
